This shot of me and Dad was taken in 2004 when my parents were here for a visit. We were on the train from Sunderland to Carlisle when my mom snapped this. It's technically not the best photo due to flare, but it's incredibly precious to me.
Okay, on to today's photo. I'm hoping that my photographer's block is behind me:
I left my deck chair out in the rain this week, and when I was wandering in the garden today I noticed that a flower from one of my potted plants had broken off and fallen into the puddle that formed on the seat. Just what my eye needed - a happy accident!

Lovely pics...how nice to see your dad; i remember you telling me all about him one morning...
A photo doesn't have to be technically perfect to be wonderful. Old family photos of my loved ones who have passed away are priceless to me, even if half of them are blurry or off-center.
I love the lilly (?) one. We have a small water fountain on our back patio and one sunny afternoon I happened to be in the right place that when I turned, the late day sun was making the fake lilly in our water fountain glow. Fake flower or not, it was beautiful and inspiring and I quickly got my camera out for a shot of it. I love things like this.
Yes, your Dad saw your post on Father's Day...I think I told you when we were on the phone. You made him a little teary-eyed...
