Slinkys were metal when I was a kid. You would play with them a while, get them tangled up and then the metal would be bent and it wouldn't work quite right after that.
The plastic ones feel and act different than the metal ones, but they have less tendency to bend.
Wonderful shot. These colorful plastic ones certainly make a much better photo subject.
I am a keen amateur photographer and have a passion for seascapes, landscapes and still life images, although I will try my hand at just about anything. I enjoy viewing everyday things and seeing the potential in oft-overlooked subjects. I am a lover of colour, shape and form, try to see things in a manner slightly different from the norm, and put my own slant on them. I continually strive to be creative and original in my work.
2014 marks my return to photography after 5 years away while my two daughters were very small. Now that they are 2 and nearly 5, I have the time and energy to focus on my photography once again. As a result, I am a beginner again :) Project365 is my way of relearning and of honing my skills.
Thank you for taking the time to visit; I hope you enjoy what you see.

I love this photo! Any chance you have a higher resolution picture? I would really like to use it as my desktop wallpaper lol
