March 15 ~ Ethereal

I have been trying to make the most of these tulips while they're still nice enough to photograph; today's shot is just the result of some messing about. I did rather like the way it turned out though, which is fortunate - I've been feeling a bit "down" photographically today and more than a little frustrated. Maybe it's partly due to the fact that I found out that I didn't win the Location Portrait competition - I wasn't even in the top 3, so I didn't get my shot in the magazine. Oh well, there's always next time!

I was kept awake yet AGAIN last night - this time by howling pooches! I don't think they were particularly loud, but it seems that most small noises wake me these days. I got back to sleep, but I think the dread of having another bad night must be playing on my mind, and as a result I have bad nights! I can't win LOL Maybe tonight will be better.

This is such a beautiful photograph and such an apt title. What a shame the pooches kept you awake...you need some of those ear plugs from my photo a day...lol Hope you sleep better tonight ....I've found "book" tapes/cds help....I never make it past a couple of chapters.

Sorry to hear you're still not sleeping Anna and sorry to hear you're feeling disheartened about your photography! I think everyone feels like that at times - you are really talented as this shot shows so keep smiling and keeping taking the photos!! xxx

What a beautiful photo of a delicate flower. This works very well in black and white. I hope that you are able to get some rest soon. I have been listening to music at night and that helps me to sleep.

Hi Anna

This is really a stunning photograph, I love the B&W treatment. It looks almost like it is made of wax. Interesting depths of field, definitely a photo I would hang on my wall. I also like the title it is very fitting.

I am so sorry that you are feeling down and having trouble sleeping. I know the feeling. Thanks for your comments on my blog, rest assured you are in my thoughts as well even if I dont get to post on your blog. I really enjoy visiting the blogs of some very special people that I have met in cyberspace and you are one of those, so just know that if you ever need a ((((HUG))))) I have ((((MEGA HUGS))))) to give. You and a few others have really made me feel special and given me a sense of well being again.
